Adam Burgess, one of Great Britain's rising slalom canoeists, recently qualified for the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games which begin later this month, and has considerable podium potential as he makes his Olympic debut.

The 28 year old made headlines in 2015, when he became Great Britain's first ever under 23 youth world champion, and as of 2020 he has a total of four European Championship and four World Championship medals behind him, with the hopes of returning from Tokyo with another medal to add to his collection.
